My name is Ashleigh and I'm married to Wayne. We've been married for 15 years. (June 20, 1998 is our anniversay). Long story short is that when Wayne and I got married, we both agreed that we wanted children someday, about 2 years into our marriage we decided to try to have a baby. Little did we know that our journey to have a child would take us down a long 8-year road. I suffer from many female problems including PCOS, Endometriosis and infertility. It was a long, hard battle, but we never gave up and on our 10th anniversary (June 2008) we were blessed with a beauitful baby girl whom we named Sophie. She is the light of our lives. Five years later, our little girl is growing up and starting kindergarten this fall.
I'm not sure if you would call me a crafty person but I love to try new things craft and hobby-wise. I love photography and in fact, I also own and operate a small photography business. Photography is my passion, I've had the pleasure of photographing many people including mothers who are patiently awaiting the arrival of their unborn baby, those cute and cuddly newborn babies, many gorgeous children and families, spunky teenagers who are graduating and about to take on the world and even couples who are engaged or saying "I Do" on their wedding day. Making memories for you to hang on your wall and share with your loved ones is what I love to do. But I also like other art and crafts. I admit, I 'm a pinterest junkie. So since I have a little girl, I'm always trying out new things with her, she is my model or guinea pig I guess you could say. My portfolio is full of images of her and when I see a craft project, it usually revolves around how I can make good use out of it for her. That is why I started up Sophie's Sophisticate.
